We've landed

It's day four.....I think?? We will move into our apartment tomorrow - it comes complete with a kitchen on the porch and a scooter repair shop next to the local temple. The Middle Kingdom it is!

Our adoptive parents (who have spent the last three days ferrying us around from apartment to apartment) said we are like the song "We are the World". We agree. The distance from home may be great, but we are making friends and starting another branch of our family here. 

Transition Part 2

We've moved out of our temporary home with the Thompson's and in with Jess' parents for the weekend. We had a whirlwind of a Friday: went to work, Jess had a haircut that she stopped in the middle so we could drive to the doctors for immunization, she went back to finish the haircut, Jason went to the mall to get a new laptop b/c ours went kaput, Jess went back to school and had a long but wonderful goodbye with teachers and faculty, rushed back "home" to eat and pack, arrived in PA at around midnight and crashed. Crazy Train (any Ozzy fans out there?).

The Move has Come and Gone

The moving is over but I thought I'd give you guys a little glimpse into the mess that became our apartment for a few days during the move.

This is Chaos!

Sorry for the delay. Well...we've officially moved! We have friends who are kind enough to let us crash in their basement until we leave on the 23rd. Which by the way is 14 days away. Anyway, I packed the camera adapter somewhere, so until I find it there will be no pictures, sorry. I also packed away most of my socks...We'll keep you updated now that most of the chaos has passed. For those of you that follow this blog, you're the reason we do this! Just kidding, but we are really glad that for some reason you want to know what's going on with us. Keep in touch.
